Originating in Italy over 500 years ago, terrazzo has seen something of a renaissance in the last decade. Traditionally the material consists of small marble chippings set in concrete which is then polished to create a smooth surface. Diespeker has been working with terrazzo since 1881 and has over 80 standard options available in large slabs or tiles. The material comes in a range of thicknesses and finishes, and Diespeker can add further details such as grooves and insets at our London factory. Terrazzo is known for being a during flooring material but is also used for worktops, stairs, furniture and bespoke products. Our years of experience has enabled us to experiment with the material and we can now create almost anything, from large expanses of seamless floors to intricate designs. The material has become a popular option for both commercial and residential spaces, providing a modern and stylish flooring alternative.
