In 2020 a team from Diespeker set off to the Malta Marathon as part of a fundraising drive for teenage mental health charity stem4. The event was a huge success and we raised a brilliant total for the charity.
In fact, it was incredibly timely as just a few weeks later, the UK went into lockdown. Schools closed, offices closed, the country ground to a halt. It was a stressful time for everyone, and for many, the stresses still remain.
The pandemic has had a devastating impact on the mental health of our population, not least on our young people.
Throughout this turmoil, stem4 has been a trusted source of clinically informed resources to help counter the effects and help to build resilience by creating a wealth of COVID-19 specific resources. Along with translations into six languages and reaching those through its suite of four free digital apps for self-support have all proved invaluable at a critical time when all access to in-person support was abruptly stopped.
Diespeker & Co are long term supporters of stem4 and are delighted to be supporting the challenge events in the ABP Southampton Marathon 2021. Together with friends at Terra Ferma Media and many others, this wonderful team will take to the streets of Southampton on 5th September and collectively walk and run for every young person in need.
