Get hands-on in our factory
Terrazzo is all around us, in hotels, offices, shops and public spaces – but most people never get to see how it’s actually made.
At Diespeker, we’re opening up our factory to small teams for a relaxed, creative afternoon where you’ll design and make your own piece of terrazzo from scratch.
It’s part behind-the-scenes tour, part design workshop, and part team-building, with everyone going home having created something genuinely unique.
What to expect
Your ‘Terrazzo Taster Teambuilding Day’ is designed to be flexible, so it can fit around your team and how you’d like to spend the time. A typical visit might include:
A factory tour
Get a feel for how terrazzo is produced on a commercial scale and see some of the bespoke pieces we’ve created for actual projects.
Designing your piece
We’ll show you examples of different terrazzo styles from bold, subtle, colourful to minimalist, and talk through what’s possible. You’ll then choose from our on-site stock of aggregates, which could include marble chippings, larger stone pieces, coloured glass or even shells.
Making terrazzo
With guidance from our team, you’ll mix the resin base, add colour if you’d like, and pour it over your design in a mould. This is where your piece really comes to life.
Finishing touches
Once cured, your terrazzo will be professionally ground and polished. Your finished pieces will be delivered to you at a later date as they need to set and undergo a grind and final polish. The finished item can be used as a small artwork, desk piece or chunky coaster.
We can also arrange refreshments during your visit, pre-ordered to suit your group.
Who is it for?
This experience is ideal for small teams from architecture, interior design and creative practices who want something a little different from the usual team-building day.
It’s hands-on, collaborative and a great way to explore terrazzo as a material, both creatively and practically, while spending time together in a working factory environment.
Architectural and design practice Studio Carver recently experienced this type of event when they visited Diespeker as part of their festive celebrations. Their team enjoyed a factory tour, and created their own hand-made terrazzo tiles.

A quick safety note
This is a live production site, so you’ll be working alongside real factory activity in the workshop and yard. We’ll provide hi-vis and a full safety briefing before you start.
