Retailer sold on terrazzo

It’s a hat trick for Diespeker & Co with three terrazzo projects for top global fashion brand, Reiss.

Reiss was founded in London 1971 and has found success through offering high quality, design-led collections. It now has stores across the world, including New York, Dubai, China and Kuwait. Diespeker also trades on a reputation for excellence, and is delighted to be associated with this strong, successful British brand.

Our first project was supply-only to the revamped Reiss store in Heathrow’s T5, contributing to the new design, by London-based architectural collective d-raw associates. This design is now being rolled out across the UK store portfolio. We supplied 230m² of terrazzo tiles from our standard range.

Another supply-only project, Diespeker supplied another 230m² of the same terrazzo tiles to the Reiss store in Hamburg, Germany, interestingly the very city where Diespeker was founded by Luigi Oderico in 1881.

Our most recent contract is the supply and fixing of 300m² of standard terrazzo for flooring, cladding, columns and countertops to the Reiss store in the Brent Cross Shopping Centre. The store is currently undergoing refurbishment due to expansion after the retailer took over an additional 1,200 sq ft made available by the exit of the neighbouring Lipsy store. Reiss Brent Cross is due to reopen in late August.

For each Reiss project, the spec is for two designs from our standard terrazzo range: the pale, Carrera based TE001 and grey Etna TE017. Total project value is approximately £100K.

The work for Reiss has been carried out through Centreline Projects, Leeds.
