How marble elevated a bathroom renovation
We had a chat with London client Julie who recently undertook bathroom renovations and called on Diespeker for help with the vanity.
What was the overall project?
We decided to renovate our two bathrooms, which we had not touched since moving into the house four years’ ago. They were in desperate need of some looking after.
What drew you towards using marble?
Marble is a fabulous material for a bathroom. It adds a natural softness and a touch of luxury.
Did you visit Diespeker to look at the options or did you order samples?
I visited Diespeker since I am local to the area, and I loved it. The team is very friendly and knowledgeable, and the yard is mesmerising with hundreds of different slabs. Very inspiring!
Which marble did you choose and why?
I chose Carrara for its timeless feel – and it also suited my budget. But there were many different options that I loved.
Which edging did you choose?
We chose ogee. It is a beautiful, refined edge for a vanity and also creates the illusion that the marble is much thicker than it is (it is 2cm). We also loved the bullnose edge.
What was the lead time?
It was just a few days, so quick!
What about installation?
We used our own builders since they were already on site working on the renovation. It was a straightforward installation.
Did Diespeker go above and beyond?
Yes, they offered to deliver the piece as I live nearby, which I am grateful for. Marble is remarkably heavy.
Overall, were you happy with the service from Diespeker?
Very happy with the service at Diespeker – I am plotting to use marble again as soon as I can!
