Here at Diespeker we love to get involved with all things design, and sometimes from a slightly unexpected angle
In 2015, we facilitated a shoot for interior design gurus Jordan and Russell from 2Â Lovely Gays who came to the yard to get creative in the promotion of their Design Clinic at the London. We ended up making some amazing bespoke terrazzo counter tops for the Nest.co.uk stand at the festival, too.
This year we were approached by Isosceles, an independent business located close by our South London factory and offices. Talented designer Cicely Travers was keen to use our yard for her own photographic shoot after seeing it from her offices. Cicely says she likes marble and the yard looked perfect for her campaign shoot, for a booklet to use at a trade fair in July.
Always supportive of local businesses (and somewhat intrigued), we invited Cicely to use our yard over a weekend, when she and her models could enjoy total privacy.
Made in the UK, Cicely’s designs are based around graphic shapes cut in stretch tulle which worked well with the structures of the marble slabs. The resulting images by photographer, Amy Gwatkin, are, we think, very striking.
