Diespeker marble showcased at WOW!house

If you haven’t come across it before, WOW!house is an award-winning showhouse event by Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour featuring over 20 world-class interior designers, with 19 rooms and outdoor spaces on display.

The aim is to show how industry collaborations can achieve amazing results. WOW!house is open to the public to experience an ‘immersive journey like no other’ and the ‘work of masters in their field’. Rooms include bedrooms, sitting rooms, dining spaces, a morning room and a library as well as a courtyard and terrace outside.

Diespeker was approached by designers Michaelis Boyd, responsible for the WOW!house House of Rohl Primary Bathroom, using the concept of a ‘playful and whimsical journey through the bathroom’.

They had ordered samples and decided on Irish marble MA117 ‘Rainforest Green’, a beautiful, unusual – and quite rare – material from Connemara.

The Diespeker team got to work creating a stunning double sink vanity top and splashback, adding features and finishes in our Bermondsey factory. The vanity top required two oval cut outs for the sinks from Vanda Baths, whilst two three-hole Georgian style wall-mounted basin mixers with country spout and lever handles from Perrin & Rowe were fixed within the splashback.

With skirting on the vanity in ‘Old Hollywood’ fabric, flame by de Le Cuona and two exquisite mirrors from John Lewis, the impact is opulent and glamorous.

As a complimentary feature, the separate powder room sink includes a circular marble trim and semicircular shelving, also made by Diespeker.

You can visit WOW!house until July 4th. It’s open from Monday to Saturday. Individual tickets cost £25, £10 for students. There’s also a two-for-one offer on Saturdays.
