Diespeker loves to work with fresh young brands, so when Roarsome approached us to discuss a countertop for their flagship store, we were only too happy to help.
Roarsome has a mission to encourage children to get away from screens and phones and enjoy mini adventures and exploration. So Roarsome clothing spans summer fun, autumn layers and winter activities and includes a brilliant range of characters designed by the illustrator Jane Foster, plus lots of great accessories.
The company launched in 2018 and after a successful Dragon’s Den appearance and crowdfunding campaign, has gone on to win multiple awards and feature in shops such as Selfridges, Harrods and John Lewis. The next step? A dedicated Roarsome Store, of course!
Aiming for a distinct interior look, the Roarsome team was already working with brands such as Farrow & Ball, Colours of Arley and ReFelt when they approached Diespeker, so had a palette in mind. Roarsome co-founder Will Chapman was really keen on including a feature counter that reflected all the colours used in the store, and our TE084C resin terrazzo fitted the brief perfectly with its mix of green, orange, terracotta, cream and white.
There was a tight turnaround for the project to ensure the counter was installed in time for the press launch on September 14. The Diespeker team got busy and the counter was in place right on time for the all-important launch day.
Will dropped MD John Krause a note, saying “Just want to say the counter looks absolutely incredible. Thanks so much for getting that turned around so quickly.”
The new Roarsome Store is located on Northcote Road in South West London. Like Diespeker, Roarsome makes its products with a view to them lasting – and we strongly recommend a visit. As well as clothing, Roarsome offers personal shopping experiences for parents looking for expert guidance and an immersive nature-themed photo space that celebrates the great outdoors.
And of course you can also admire the stunning counter!
