Going glossy in Stella Magazine

We were very excited recently to get a mention in the Telegraph’s Stella Magazine for an interior design project.

Diespeker & Co worked with set designer Anna Burns of Anna Burns Studio to provide a stunningly different marble floor for her new bathroom.

Anna visited our South East London yard, where we stock hundreds of samples of natural stone and terrazzo, to choose different types of marble to suit the design she had in mind – something along the lines of crazy paving!

We keep different sizes of marble offcuts in the yard in the expectation that they will have a use in the future. For some clients this means crushing the stone to be used as aggregate in bespoke terrazzo. For others, like Anna, creativity comes with keeping the slabs large.

Being a set designer, Anna has a strong sense of what works visually, picking out an eclectic choice of colours and textures for her bathroom floor.

The resulting floor colourfully complements the drama of the black wall tiles, and we think the combination of marbles is simply stunning.

It was a real treat to open the pages of Stella and see the floor featured, and beautifully photographed by photographer Ingrid Rasmussen.

Clients are always welcome to visit the yard, and our showroom to gain inspiration for upcoming projects. The choice of marble, granite, conglomerate, quartz and standard terrazzo is impressive. In addition, Diespeker offers a bespoke terrazzo service, using traditional skills to create beautiful, unique finishes.
