Pizza Mania

Diespeker is delighted to be a part of the Franco Manca revolution across London.

The first Franco Manca opened in Brixton Market in 2008 as a sourdough pizza specialist. Now owned by Fulham Shore, there are 17 Franco Manca restaurants from Soho to Brixton, and new locations are opening regularly.

The business is committed to quality ingredients, with mozzarella produced in Somerset by Italian cheese maker Albino Scalzitti and meat from British producers – including rare breed specialists ‒ with high welfare standards. Through the summer, the menu championed seasonal Heritage tomatoes, which have made a comeback for their rich taste.

One of the key elements of a pizza restaurant must surely be the quality of its marble countertops. Diespeker worked closely with the brand to supply natural stone table tops for a number of new restaurants created during 2014, and looks set to supply for the next wave of expansion in 2016.

Refreshingly, Franco Manca does not have a preferred ‘brand’ natural stone, but is happy to take recommendations for interesting choices of marble or granite surfaces from Diespeker.
