Diespeker supplied terrazzo for a stunning spiral staircase that is being created at the prestigious Burberry store in the Dubai Mall, Dubai.
The project uses terrazzo TE070 from Diespeker’s Standard Plus range, a creamy white design.
The spiral staircase design includes intricate curved elements, on plan and on elevation. This type of curve is usually created in stone but not often in terrazzo – and was a first for Diespeker.
Thick blocks of the terrazzo up to 200mm thick were manufactured and a special cutting machine used to create the required sections. The treads and risers for the staircase are being cut in Dubai.
Diespeker also made the curved terrazzo 20mm skirting and wall strings for the project.
