Leading natural stone and terrazzo specialist, Diespeker & Co has installed a state-of-the-art overhead gantry crane on rails at its factory premises in South East London.
The crane has the capacity to lift up to five tonnes, the weight of an average delivery where a typical 20mm slab weighs approximately 240 kg.
Managing Director, John Krause said: “We regularly receive stone on 40 foot trailers from our suppliers in Italy. It has always been a challenge to move the stock efficiently, so we are thrilled with the improved efficiency the crane has afforded us.”
The gantry, costing in the region of £50K, was supplied by Technical Cranes of Rotherham.
