Upgrading Diespeker’s manufacturing capacity

Over the past few years we’ve been investing heavily in our business to offer an even better quality and service to commercial and residential clients alike.

This includes upgrading our machinery. Perhaps our biggest investment in the factory to date is a state of the art CNC machine, our new Breton Forte. This 3 and 4 axis high output monobloc contouring centre is ideal for drilling, shaping and contouring in a range of applications including kitchen worktops, vanity tops, and furnishing accessories.

For Diespeker, one of the key benefits of the new machine is the greater efficiency it affords us, with 24-hour operation through machine programmability. Take a look at the installation day below!

MD John Krause says “This upgrade has been something we’ve been planning for quite some time, and I’m really looking forward to seeing the benefits it will bring to our clients, as well as our factory team.

“It increases our capacity to meet client deadlines, which is already competitive due to the sheer amount of stock we have on site, including terrazzo, marble and granite slabs at our dedicated D” storage facility.”

Preparing for the installation required a lot of work, including breaking out concrete, moving a lifting arm, taking out the old CNC and planning access for the new machine. There was a delicate balancing between preparation for the new machine and ensuring that jobs underway with the old model were not delayed.

Diespeker’s investment was in excess of £182K, including installation and training, plus the preparation work in the factory.

2023/4 has been a step change for Diespeker in terms of embracing new technology and upgrading to mechanized processes. This includes another recently installed GMM saw/CNC machine, and new templating machine that links seamlessly with the CNC. We’re also improving transportation, now with two forklifts working between our locations and a new vehicle soon to join our expanding delivery fleet.
