Terrazzo table tops for gorgeous refurb in Devon

Hotel du Vin in Exeter recently underwent a ground floor refurbishment that included its Bistro. Bistro du Vin serves classical French dishes with a twist, combining contemporary and traditional.

Diespeker was commissioned by Room Contracts to supply 23 table tops in our TE113 resin terrazzo. TE113 offers an eclectic mix of brown, green, orange, pink and terracotta chippings, all set into a classic white background, itself mixing a modern look with heritage colours.

The specification included seven square tables, three rectangular table tops, and 13 round tables of two different sizes, all with a thickness of 20mm, with a polished finish. The order was confirmed in July for September delivery directly to the hotel in Exeter.

The overall design of the Bistro incorporates warm glows of unusual pendant macrame lamps, soft leatherette seating, rustic faux wood planks, lush palm pattern wallpaper, with deep luxurious colours all coming together to create a harmonious atmosphere. Diespeker’s TE113 fits perfectly into the mix, cheekily accentuating the colours within the design.

Hotel du Vin is right in the heart of the city of Exeter, with distinctive architecture and historic walled gardens contribute to an exceptional and unique experience. Rooms are individually designed to provide luxurious accommodation, the Magdalen Lounge opening to the terrace and garden, and the REN spa offering treatments and a refreshing pool.

And of course, the Bistro and Bar, offering French-inspired menus from crispy frogs legs and escargot to moules mariniere and chateaubriand, not forgetting crème brûlée and pot au chocolate! Plus plenty of wonderful options for toasting the occasion.
