Distinctive design for Whistles, White City

Diespeker is delighted to have completed a contract for the design and supply of countertops and display plinths in bespoke resin based terrazzo for the new flagship store of contemporary fashion brand, Whistles.

Whistles has been a tour de force in the British fashion scene since it was launched in 1978. In 2008, the brand was relaunched under Jane Shepherdson CBE turning Whistles into the contemporary brand we know today. Whistles encapsulates an intelligent sense of design with timeless and luxurious pieces. Collections are modern and laid back with an attention to detail and quality. The bespoke material created by Diespeker for the new store in The Village, Westfield White City reflects this.

After the samples were made up, Whistles CEO Jane Shepherdson had the final say in signing off the project.

The resulting unique resin based terrazzo was used to create two table tops (1600 X 800mm) and six display plinths for the store. We are delighted with the end look for Whistles and for the opportunity to create something quite unique for this upmarket brand.

For other clients looking for an exclusive look for countertops, display items or flooring, Diespeker can produce samples for bespoke terrazzo and resin based terrazzo quickly in our workshops in South East London. With more than fifty different slabs of marble stored in the yard and over fifty varieties of chippings of varying colours and sizes, clients are able to browse and choose their desired combination on the spot.

Marble slabs can be broken for a nonconformist look, or precision cut for a more refined design.  Likewise, aggregate can be kept within a specified palette or chosen randomly from the wide selection of colours and grains. In addition, other materials including glass and metal suitable for use in the terrazzo are available to view and choose on site.
