Over the years we’ve collaborated with a number of designers, and we’re always delighted to share their successes.
So a huge congratulations to Theres Hoyos, founder of design studio MAIE, and her team. MAIE has won a prestigious Livingetc Style Award for best coffee table.
Diespeker is responsible for making Theres’s beautiful designs come to life. We’re great admirers of the coffee table, which is made to order. Offcuts from the processes are repurposed into accessories such as coasters.
The MAIE coffee table is available in various marbles, from the restful Travertino Classico to the impactful Cipollino Verde, as well as beautiful terrazzo designs.
There’s something to suit every taste, although Theres told us “The jury was particularly smitten by the beautiful Rosso Levanto stone.” Rosso Levanto is, as the name implies, a strong red marble which has dramatic veining. A real talking point of a table!
The judges also commented: “We’ve shouted about MAIE before, so it’s not surprising that its sculptural coffee table tops our list of brilliant designs. Sustainably sourced natural stone is central to MAIE’s design philosophy, and this marble piece is a fine example of the brand’s work.”
