Back in April we took delivery of a stunning fabric – a perfect recreation of one of our most popular terrazzo styles, the iconic TE081.
The material had been commissioned from India by one of our clients who had so loved her Diespeker TE081 that she wanted to use it for soft furnishings. Not one to miss out on an opportunity for anything terrazzo-related, our MD John Krause asked the client to have a little extra made.
When it arrived at Diespeker HQ everyone was impressed, and thoughts turned to possibilities for using the beautiful fabric. It is certainly unique, embroidered with the marble chunks giving a 3D tactile feel to the material.
John finally decided to commission a local upholsterer to cover a tub chair, two dining chairs and make some scatter cushions at the same time. Munro Upholstery came up trumps, with John saying he was ecstatic about the result.
So now visitors to Diespeker coming to discuss their own projects can kick off their creative concepts from the comfort of a soft terrazzo chair.
TE081 was introduced to the Diespeker family in 2019. It is a true statement resin terrazzo that continues to make an impact in residential and commercial projects around the UK. For a similar colourway, you can also check out the TE084 range which comes in cement and resin.
