Diespeker’s Marathon Man prepares for London 2021

We’re delighted to hear that our MD John Krause has secured his spot at this year’s London Marathon on October 3rd.

John last took part in the London Marathon in 2015, completing the 26 mile course in 03:08:52 and coming 2592 overall. In a field of 37,581 runners, that’s pretty impressive!

With just five months to go, he’s now started serious training and completed his 174th marathon at the Denbies Vineyard “Hard cheese & Whine-athon” on April 26th where he was placed 12th.

John has been taking part in marathons since 2000 (he says it was a response to a mid-life crisis!) and he’s run an average of 8 marathons each year.

In the 2021 London Marathon, John will be raising funds for Holly Lodge Centre, a unique small charity located in the heart of Richmond Park. Holly Lodge runs educational programmes that explore science, nature and history, and specialises in activities for people with disabilities.
